Turn Off GPS Command

The Turn Off GPS command sends a command to your Garmin GPS receiver to shut down. Use this command when you are finished transferring data to or from your GPS, to conserve your GPS receiver's battery.

The Turn Off GPS command is only available for Garmin GPS receivers. If you own a different brand of GPS, turn off your GPS after you are done transferring data by pressing the Power button on the GPS.

To turn off your Garmin GPS:

The Progress dialog will appear briefly while ExpertGPS sends the command to your Garmin GPS receiver.

Your Garmin GPS receiver will turn off, just as if you had powered it down using the Power button on the GPS.
