Before you can use your map image in ExpertGPS, it must be added to the Map Library and calibrated.
Adding a New Scanned Map (World File)
To add a new map to the Scanned Map Library, do the following:
- On the , click .
- The Scanned Map Library will appear. Click the button.
The Open Scanned Map dialog will appear.
Select in the Files of Type list.
The map will be added to the Scanned Map Library. The map has been calibrated using the calibration points from the Map Calibration File. The projection and datum are set to default values (Equirectangular and WGS84) and must be changed.
Select the newly-added scanned map, and click to
specify the projection information located in the collar of your map in
the Edit Scanned Map dialog.
