Refresh Old or Broken Map Tiles Command

ExpertGPS downloads and displays topo maps, aerial photos, and street maps from a number of online map providers. The first time you view a map for a new area, ExpertGPS downloads the appropriate map tiles and caches them on your hard drive. Occasionally, a server error or glitch in your Internet connection may result in an incomplete or corrupt map image being displayed in ExpertGPS. Or, you may be returning to a project area several years later, and want to load the latest aerial imagery for that location.

To flush the map cache and download a fresh copy of the map currently displaying on the screen in ExpertGPS, click Refresh Old or Broken Map Tiles on the Map menu, under Internet Map Retrieval. You can also use Ctrl+F5 to access this command.

All of the map tiles currently displayed on-screen will be removed, and new map tiles will be downloaded from the map server.
