Split Route at Waypoint Command

The Split Route at Waypoint command splits the route into two routes, which meet at the selected waypoint. If a route contains more turns than your GPS receiver will allow, use this command to split the route into two smaller routes.

Splitting a route on the map

To split a route on the map, do the following:

  1. View a map.
  2. Select a single waypoint that is used in a route.
  3. Then, do one of the following:
    • On the Waypoint menu, click Split Route at Waypoint.
    • Right-click on the selected waypoint, and click Split Route at Waypoint.

Splitting a route at a waypoint in the Waypoint List

To split a route at a waypoint in the Waypoint List, do the following:

  1. View the Waypoint List.
  2. Select a single waypoint that is used in a route.
  3. Then, do one of the following:
    • On the Waypoint menu, click Split Route at Waypoint.
    • Right-click on the selected waypoint, and click Split Route at Waypoint.

To split a route in the route's Route Waypoint List, do the following:

  1. View a route's Route Waypoint List.
  2. Select a single waypoint.
  3. Then, do one of the following:
    • On the Waypoint menu, click Split Route at Waypoint.
    • Right-click on the selected waypoint, and click Split Route at Waypoint.
