Exporting CSV and Tab-Delimited Text to Excel and Other Programs

ExpertGPS can convert and export your GPS, GIS, and CAD data to CSV or tab-delimited text for use in Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice Calc, and other programs that can work with delimited text files.

To export your text, first confirm that the coordinate format and datum you are using in ExpertGPS match the coordinate system you are using in your spreadsheet or in the other program. If needed, click Change Coordinate Format on the Options menu. Then, click Export Data to CSV on the Convert menu to create the text. Save your data as .csv or .txt, and import into your spreadsheet software. You can also copy and paste directly from the waypoint or track list in ExpertGPS to Excel.
