The Tools menu contains commands to edit, delete, and manipulate waypoints, routes, tracks, shapes, and notes.
- New Waypoint
- Create a new waypoint.
- New Route
- Create a new route.
- View on Map
- View the selected items on the map.
- View in List
- View the selected items in the list.
- Set Active Point
- Set the point used as a reference for distance and bearing calculations.
- Place Label Here
- Put the label for the selected item at this location on the map.
- Project Waypoint
- Create a new waypoint a specified distance and bearing from the Active Point.
- Average Waypoint
- Create a new waypoint by averaging the locations of a group of waypoints or points in a track.
- Delete Points
- Delete the points in the selected portion of the track or shape.
- Clear Selection
- Clear the selected portion of the track or shape.
- Add Waypoint to Route
- Add the waypoint to the route.
- Remove Waypoint from Route
- Remove the selected waypoint from the route.
- Split Route at Waypoint
- Break the route into two parts at the selected waypoint.
- Measure
- Draw the selected route, track, or shape using an alternating pattern with a length that matches the scale bar.
- Simplify
- Remove points from the track or shape to make a smoother line that approximates the shape of the original.
- Close
- Connect the starting and ending points of the route, track, or shape to create a filled object.
- Reverse
- Reverse the direction of the route, track, or shape.
- Backtrack
- Backtrack to the Track's marker.
- Break
- Break the track or shape into two parts at the marker location.
- Split
- Split the track or shape into two parts at the marker location.
- Join
- Join the selected items together to create one item.
- Convert to
- Convert between waypoints and notes, or between routes, tracks, and shapes.
