Configuring an MLR SP 24 GPS

Step-by-step instructions for configuring an MLR SP 24 GPS receiver.

To configure NMEA output

  1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen appears.
  2. Select Serial Port.
  3. Set NMEA as the Data Input.
  4. Set NMEA183 2.3 as the Data Output.
  5. Set ACTIVE as the Serial Port setting.

To set the datum to WGS84

  1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen appears.
  2. Select System Setup.
  3. Select Map Datum.
  4. Select Select from List.
  5. Select WGS1984.

To set the coordinate format to deg min.min format

  1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen appears.
  2. Select System Setup.
  3. Select Coordinate System.
  4. Select Select from List.
  5. Select 00°00.000'.
