Configuring a Lowrance GlobalMap 100 GPS

Step-by-step instructions for configuring a Lowrance GlobalMap 100 GPS receiver.

To disable NMEA output

  1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
  2. Select SYSTEM SETUP.
  3. Select NMEA/DGPS CONFIG.
  4. Set NMEA OUT to OFF.

To set the baud rate to 4800

  1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
  2. Select SYSTEM SETUP.
  3. Select COM PORT SETUP.
  4. Set BAUD RATE to 4800.
  5. Set PARITY to NONE.
  6. Set DATA BITS to 8.

To set the datum to WGS84

  1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
  2. Select GPS SETUP.
  3. Select SELECT DATUM.
  4. Select WGS84.

To set the coordinate format to deg min.min

  1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
  2. Select GPS SETUP.
  3. Select POSITION FORMAT.
  4. Select DM.
