Configuring a Garmin GPS 12

Step-by-step instructions for configuring a Garmin GPS 12 receiver.

To select GRMN/GRMN HOST interface mode

1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen is displayed.
2. Select Interface.
3. Select GRMN/GRMN on the first line.
4. Select HOST on the second line.

To set the datum to WGS 84

1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen is displayed.
2. Select Nav Setup.
3. Select WGS 84 as the Map Datum.

To set the coordinate format to decimal degrees

1. Press the Page button on your GPS receiver until the Menu screen is displayed.
2. Select Nav Setup.
3. Select hddd.ddddd as the Position Format.
