GPS Waypoints and POIs for registered ExpertGPS customers

Download 1.6 million US points of interest, place names, and other geographical features. These waypoint files can be sent to any Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, or Eagle GPS receiver using ExpertGPS mapping software for Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Click on a link below to download the waypoint file. All waypoint files are compressed in ZIP format. You will need a utility like WinZip to extract the data files to the TopoGrafix LOC format. In ExpertGPS, click Open on the File menu, and select the .loc file to open the points of interest for that US state.

These GPS points of interest were extracted from the USGS GNIS gazetteer database. They contain mountains, lakes, rivers, national parks, and other natural features that you would find on a topographic map. You can view these POIs in ExpertGPS map software, plotted over topo maps, orthophotos, and your own scanned maps. You can send these GPS waypoints to your Magellan, Eagle, Lowrance, or Garmin GPS receiver using ExpertGPS. You can export POIs to Excel, or view these GPS waypoints in Google Earth using the F7 key in ExpertGPS.
